About the RD&PR

The Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj is functioning as nodal agency to ensure proper implementation of Rural Development Programmes through DRDAs/Panchayati Raj Institutions with a view to accelerate the pace of development in rural areas.

The centrally sponsored schemes for poverty alleviation and employment generation programmes are implemented by the District Rural Development Agencies/PRIs under the supervision and administrative control of the Rural Development Department.

At the State Level, Secretariat Monitoring Cell is functioning for monitoring and evaluation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes/Programmes.
