Indira Awaaz Yojana

The Bharat Nirman programme is a concrete business plan of the Govt. of India to substantially augment the basic infrastructure of Rural Areas in India. The Plan will be executed over a period of 5 years from 2004-05 to 2008-09. The housing component of the business plan will be implemented through the Indira Awaas Yojana with the target to construct 60 lacs additional houses in the Country. Target of the scheme are calculated on the basis of BPL Census, 2002 and on the allocation of fund under IAY for the year,2005-06 onwards.

The Govt. of India, Ministry of Rural Development ( Rural Housing ) made allocation for the implementation of I.A.Y. in the State of Manipur for the year,2007-08 (district-wise) as detailed below:-
